Littlehampton flat fire caused by cooking

A FIRE at a Littlehampton home was caused by unattended cooking.

Crews from Littlehampton and East Preston fire stations were called to a ground-floor flat in Beaconsfield Road at 11.15am yesterday (Thursday, June 30), where a small fire had broken out in the kitchen of an end-of-terrace house.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue confirmed that the blaze had started accidentally.
