Littlehampton Flower Club winds down for holidays

LITTLEHAMPTON Flower Club has been winding down for the holiday season with a competition and a Christmas lunch.

At the November meeting of the club, members attended a workshop led by president Pam Bryant.

A diverse selection of small ornamental Christmas trees was produced to encourage members to create their own Christmas decorations.

The club held its Christmas lunch in December with a meal served at the Six Bells in Lyminster.

A Christmas hamper donated by Annie and Helene Halls was raffled as a special item as well as a mega-raffle organised by Janet Rose and Jenny Donaldson.

A cheque for £200 was presented to Mrs Halls for the Arun Sunshine Group, which has been the club’s charity for 2013.

The next meeting will be the annual meeting on February 12, 2014, at 2.30pm at Parkside Evangelical Church hall, in St Flora’s Road.

The business meeting will be followed by a ‘back to basics’ demonstration by Pam Bryant.
