Littlehampton man Mark Northeast, who is the founder of Funky Lunch, has designed the UK’s first pick ‘n’ mix film poster to celebrate the release of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water.

Father-of-two Mark, of Meadow Way, used 24 different types of confectionary and more than 400 individual sweets, from foam bananas and ‘fried eggs’, to chunks of fudge and blue dolphins, to build the delicious design.

He said: “This has to go down as one of the largest and most fun I’ve undertaken.

“One of the toughest elements of the project was trying to cut and shape the 24 different varieties of sweets to use them in the picture. Some are brittle and can snap easily while others were incredibly chewy.”

The poster was crafted by Mark for Empire Cinema’s site, in Walthamstow.

SpongeBob opened across the UK yesterday (Friday, MArch 27).
