Terence Mountain, who featured in two James Bond films including On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969, will be supporting Marc Slattery, of Hove, who has decided to part with his impressive collection of posters and other movie items.

Marc said: “I have every single poster from Her Majesty’s Secret Service to Skyfall.”

This includes the royal world charity premiere programme of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and the ticket stub, along with screen scene props.

The Bond fanatic, who picked up the hobby when he was a child, has had to take his items to an auctioneer in Westminster after he was made redundant at his job.

“With the money from the sales I want to invest in my future and repay my mortgage.”

Marc came across his first piece of memorabilia in 1973 when he was given a Live and Let Die programme (which will not be included in the auction). Through his love of all things 007, Marc became friends with veteran actor Terence, who played Raphael in Her Majesty’s Secret Service and made a brief appearance in Diamonds Are Forever as a guard.

Marc said: “Terence was one of the two men who ambushed George Lazenby’s James Bond 007 on the Portuguese beach in the pre-title sequence. Then kidnapped him at pistol point before taking him to see the Head Of The Unione Corse.”

The extensive collection will be appearing at COYS auctioneers in Lindley Hall, Vincent Square, Westminster on December 1.

Viewings of the items will be held on Monday, November 30, from midday to 8pm, and on the day of the sale from 10am until the sale begins as 3pm.

However, Terence is not the only James Bond connection to Littlehampton.

Early in 1944, Littlehampton became the base for a special Royal Marine Commando Unit called the 30 Assault Unit. Ian Fleming, the author who penned the James Bond novels, was made the senior CO for the unit.

Littlehampton Museum has also held a number of James Bond exhibitions.
