Littlehampton lifeboat launched to sea sick man and furry friend

TWO MEN and a dog were rescued by the Littlehampton lifeboat on Saturday (April 3) night.

Crews were called at 10.35pm to help a yacht that had anchored two-miles south of the harbour entrance, as bad weather was preventing them from getting any further.

Both of the men on board, one of whom was suffering from severe sea sickness, and dog Bobby, were brought ashore by lifeboat crews, and checked over by paramedics, before the 32ft yacht was towed into the harbour.

Nick White, lifeboat operations manager, said: "Sea sickness can be much worse than generally realised and it was good to see our casualties recovering so well the next day."
