Yesterday (Sunday, July 9) crews were called twice in the space of an hour.

Their first shout came at 1.52pm. Crews were asked by the coastguard to help a sports craft that had suffered damage to its propeller. They rescued four people, including a child.

Then, at 2.52pm, an RNLI team was needed once more, this time to tow a broken down fishing boat, that was one and a half miles away from Littlehampton, back to the town’s harbour.
