Littlehampton man charged over indecent photos of children

A LITTLEHAMPTON man has been charged with 16 offences of possessing, distributing and making indecent images of children.

Leslie Whittle, 64, of Timberleys, was arrested after an investigation by the Sussex Police Paedophilia On-Line Investigation Team.

A police spokesman said: "The charges consist of four offences of distribution of indecent images, 10 offences of possession with a view to distributing indecent images, one of making indecent images, and one of possession of indecent images.

"All the images are of children. Whittle is not charged with any offences involving physical or other contact with children."

He will appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on Thursday (July 8).
