Littlehampton man dies after Kent road crash

A LITTLEHAMPTON man has died following a crash on the A20 in Kent on Saturday (July 24).

It happened on the London-bound carriage way at Swanley at about 10.40am, when a green Scania articulated lorry and a yellow Iveco car recovery truck collided.

Two men in the recovery truck were taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, in Sidcup, and one, in his 40s and from Littlehampton, was later transferred to the Royal London Hospital. He died from his injuries.

The carriageway was closed for more than 10 hours, not reopening until 9pm.
