Littlehampton man dies in Lyminster collision

A motorcyclist died in a crash yesterday (Saturday, May 14).

Sussex Police said at about 3.05pm, emergency services were called to a collision between a motorbike and a car on Lyminster Road, Lyminster.

A Kawasaki motorcycle was travelling north in the road, when it collided with a Mini Cooper motor car, travelling south.

Police said the rider of the motorcycle, a 54-year-old man, from Littlehampton, was treated by paramedics and Sussex Air Ambulance, but he died at the scene.

The occupants of the Mini, a 52-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman from Bognor Regis were taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, with what are believed to be slight injuries.

Sergeant Neil Walker said: “We are appealing anyone who saw what happened or saw either vehicle before the collision to contact us. Please email [email protected] or call 101 quoting Operation Lulworth.
