Littlehampton race night a top success for cancer cause

A NIGHT at the races in Littlehampton has romped home with an impressive amount of cash for a cancer cause.

A charity night was held at The Sportsman, in St Floras Road, for support group CancerWise – raising £1,208.

Emma Neno, fundraising manager for the Chichester-based cause, said: “The race night was full of fun and excitement, everyone had a brilliant night.

“It was lovely to see The Sportsman packed out with people enjoying the evening.

“I can’t thank The Sportsman team enough for all their hard work which resulted in raising such an incredibly huge amount for CancerWise. The money will go towards helping so many people in our local community who have been affected by cancer.”

The race night had an Independence Day theme to it with Heart FM radio presenter Jack the Lad adding some extra humour to the action.
