Five members of staff from the Regency Court Nursing Home, in South Terrace, took the plunge and joined the Ice Bucket Challenge.

The craze, which has swept the globe in recent weeks, sees people dunking buckets of ice-cold water over their heads to raise money for good causes.

Eloisa, 24, of Terminus Road, Littlehampton, helped to stage the event with the support of the home’s receptionist, Shirley Bentaleb.

She said: “It wasn’t too bad. It was all for a good cause so I know we would all do it again in a heartbeat.”

The home managed to raise £210 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association from their challenge.
