This year’s programme is sure to delight visitors of all ages, with live performances by one of the south’s top cover bands, Murdoch’s Crazy Eyes (MCE), to more than 50 community groups, as well as an impressive horticultural and craft show among some of the attractions.

Councillor Malcolm Belchamber, chairman of the town council’s community resources committee, said: “The Town Show and Family Fun Day is a an excellent community celebration with plenty of things for everyone to see and do; there are more stands, performances and entertainment than ever, so make sure you tell your family and friends to come along and have fun.”

Supporting MCE on the main stage, which this year is sponsored by the Arun View Inn, will be local girl Emily Johnston.

Also on the bill are some of the town’s top dancing talent, from the award-winning Sussex Tornados Cheerleaders and Dance Industry Studios.

Back once again this year is the ever-popular pet show.

Organised by the Little-hampton Dog Training Club, the free event gives a chance for people’s prized pooches and pets to take centre stage.

Categories include most handsome dog, prettiest bitch, pet in best condition and the pet the judges would take on holiday.

But there are plenty of prizes up for grabs for humans in the crowd, too, with the show’s onesie competition, which is backed by Titan Storage.

There are three categories for onesie-lovers to enter; children under 16, over-16s and pets.
