Hastings Business Operations (HBO) are one of 36 groups and companies across Sussex and South East Hampshire who have signed up for the event with staff at their buildings in Hastings and Eastbourne taking part.

On Friday, December 15, companies who operate from HBO’s Creative Media Centre, Hastings and Pacific House Eastbourne will take part in a range of festive activities, including wearing Christmas jumpers and hosting a festive fundraising lunch.

Linda Jeffcoate from Hastings Business Operations said: “We are keen supporters of Chestnut Tree. The work they do caring for local children in East Sussex is amazing and we wanted to help to raise money to support that.

“Our buildings play host to a whole range of businesses so Get Festive seemed like the perfect way for everyone to get involved in whatever festive way they wanted.”

Eastbourne’s Mini Madam and Mini Gent children’s clothing store are also getting behind the campaign, hosting a Christmas Shopping event on Saturday, December 16. The store will donate £5 for every £30 spent on the day, and will hold a Christmas Bow making event. Money from each bow made will be given to Chestnut Tree House.

Chestnut Tree House cares for around 300 children who are unlikely to live to adulthood across Sussex and South East Hampshire. They offer respite and end of life care as well as ongoing care and support throughout a child’s life and beyond, both at their purpose built hospice building near Arundel and in families’ own homes.
