Local families to enjoy cut-price passport to pleasure at Butlins

A passport to pleasure inside Butlins has been launched for Bognor Regis area families.

The new Leisure Card provides cut-price fun for a whole year to residents in the PO21 and PO22 postcodes.

Almost 70 of the cards were ordered within two days of the scheme's low-key launch on June 27.

It is expected up to 3,000 people will apply for the chance to save money while they enjoy the facilities at Butlins all year round.

Jon Kirby, the site's day visit co-ordinator, said: 'We want to open up Butlins more to local people and allow them to become a part of what we do.

'We want them to come and join us as we give something back to the community.

'The family card only has to be used four times in a year and it will pay for itself.'

The Leisure Card costs 129 for two adults and two children. An adult pass costs 55 and one for those aged two to 17 and senior citizens is 28.

It enables unlimited access to the Butlins site up to 11pm. This includes entertainment shows with stars from Dora the Explorer to Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity.

Card-holders also receive discounts on Butlins' holidays, meals in the Shoreline Hotel and children's birthday parties.

The only times the card is not valid are the 15 adult weekends a year at the site. More details are available from the Gloucester Road day visitor entrance. The card replaces a long-running fun pass which had some 2,000 holders but was never actively promoted by Butlins.
