The workshops have been led by the talented workshop leaders and performers, Anthony and Ann from St. Leonards based street theatre company ‘Inside Out’ who work in the local area and also abroad.

Anthony and Ann have been working with dedication and commitment on the project for months - going into the school, devising the original new play with the children, making costumes and even driving all the way to Ipswich to collect a Victorian pram to appear in the show!

Ann and Anthony explained how the children had grown in confidence through the drama project. One lad even said “I’ve done it. I’ve overcome my fear”.

Through the project the children have also learnt about the history of Hastings Pier and visited the Pier’s new Memories Room to explore the new digital archive interpretation.
