Local traders invited to market

Street market organisers Hailsham Forward are looking for existing and aspiring local traders to sell their wares at its forthcoming Art, Antiques and Collectibles Market.

Organisers will be providing 28 stalls for hire at the one-off special market which will take place in Vicarage Field on Saturday November 2 from 9.30am to 3pm.

Traders selling ceramics, silverware, jewellery, paintings, sculptures, postcards, stamps, books, ephemera, automobilia, militaria, vintage homeware, fine art, modern collectibles and vintage must-haves are invited to reserve a stall.

The Hailsham Forward Town Team is working on a number of projects in partnership with the Hailsham Town Council and the local Chamber of Commerce to help revitalise the town centre, increase footfall and spend within the town. A regular town centre market (open on the third Saturday and every second and fourth Thursday of each month) was established last week and there are also one-off special themed markets.

Hailsham Town Council’s Business Enterprise Manager, Mickey Caira said: “The market is an opportunity for new stall traders looking to make the break into selling art, antiques and collectibles, as well as more established sellers.”

Hailsham Forward chairman Paul Soane said:“Providing street markets – both regular and one-off/themed - is fundamental to the revitalisation of our town centre.”

The cost of a pitch and each 3m x 3m gazebo stall are just £20 per day. If you are interested in booking a pitch and stall call 01323 841702 or email streetmarket@hailshamforward.co.uk.
