Long delays for commuters on A27 near Lewes

A two vehicle collision on the A27 near Lewes caused long delays this morning (Tuesday February 11).

Emergency services were called to the eastbound A27 between Falmer and Lewes, opposite the petrol station at 8am.

One car collided with the central reservation.

Sussex Police said two injuries were reported but no information had been received to suggest they were serious.

There were traffic delays back to Falmer and beyond.

Police also said one was lane closed and there was very slow traffic on A27 eastbound between Falmer and Ashcombe Roundabout, Lewes.

They said there was congestion westbound to the Beddingham Roundabout and eastbound to Patcham.
