Lord Lieutenant guest of honour at Air Cadets’ awards
The guest of honour was Her Majesty’s Lieutenant for West Sussex, Mrs Susan Pyper who was accompanied by her husband. The Officer Commanding Sussex Wing ATC, Wing Commander Kevin Tucker was in attendance.
The Lord Lieutenant, herself a former member of the RAF, presented the awards and gave a stimulating and amusing speech. This highlighted episodes in her RAF career and she emphasised the many benefits she saw from membership of a disciplined youth organisation such as the Air Cadets.
