Lorry collides with bridge in Amberley

Emergency services were called to Amberley yesterday (Sunday May 10) after a lorry was involved in a collision with a railway bridge.

A crew from Storrington attended the incident in New Barn Road at around 11.30am.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was trapped in the collision and the scene was made safe by firefighters.

Police added no injuries were reported and there was minor damage to the bridge.

The road was cleared by 12.30pm and the incident was left with police and Network Rail.
