Lost five-year-old is found at West Wittering

Selsey Coastguard was called to reports of a child going missing at about 1.45pm today but were stood down later when the child was found safe and well.

It comes as the popular spot reaches full-capacity with beach-goers flocking to the coast during the balmy weather.

Free 'child safe' wrist bands are available from the lifeguard tower on West Wittering beach. Parents and guardians have been encouraged to keep an eye on their children at all times when visiting the beach.
