Love in a box - Bexhill College

It may be a few weeks before a fat man in a red suit begins his annual giveaway but Bexhill College students have entered into the spirit of giving already.

Childcare, Health and Introductory Diploma for Vocational Studies students have been working closely with the Mustard Seed Relief Mission on their "Love in a Box" campaign to help under privileged children overseas.

The students gather boxes and pack them with gifts appropriate to different age ranges. They are then lovingly wrapped so the recipient has an authentic Christmas gift to open on the day. Once completed, they are collected by the charity to be distributed in Eastern Europe.

In all the college pupils collected and dispatched 25 packages.

Deputy Head of Section, Jennifer Stacey said "The students really were magnificent. A lot of effort went into this. It will make such a difference to the kids who receive these who might otherwise have had a very barren Christmas"
