Love Your Hospice Month is a chance to raise money by joining a fundraising event, simply dining out, or even having tea and cake at home.

The hospice has teamed up with a number of local eateries, who will ask customers to consider a donation at the end of their meal.

The Eat to Love and Love to Eat campaign will run throughout February in restaurants, cafés and pubs. These include:-

• Woodies at 10-13 St Pancras, Chichester.

• Charlie Harper’s Bar and Brasserie at 5 Eastgate Square, Chichester.

• Fox Goes Free Pub and Restaurant in Charlton.

• The Anchor Inn in Selsey Road, Sidlesham.

• The Spotted Cow in Selsey Road, Hunston.

• The Seal in Hillfield Road, Selsey.

More are adding to the list all the time, so for the most up to date information, go to stwh.co.uk.

On Thursday, February 11, there is a quiz night at Bishop Luffa School in Chichester at 7.30pm, including fun, food, questions and prizes.

Entry is £60 for a team of six, to include a fish and chip supper. The hospice fundraising team may be able to help people make up a team by linking up like-minded quizzers.

For more energetic fundraising, there is a Zumbathon on Sunday, February 21, from 10am to 1pm at Westgate Leisure Centre in Chichester. This is suitable for any fitness level and participants can take a break at any time. Entry is £10 and individual sponsorship money will add to the total.

To hold a Community Cuppa, simply gather friends, family or colleagues together and ask for a donation for their tea and cake. A Community Cuppa pack is available, containing everything needed for a successful get-together.

Anyone can show their support by posting a heart on the hospice’s social media sites during February. Make a heart, draw a heart or photograph a heart in the sand, perhaps.
