The Broadway near the A259 Brighton Road in Lancing has been closed both ways following an accident (12.30pm).

There is also slow moving traffic along the A27 around Chichester this Saturday lunchtime, with congestion along the bypass and around the roundabouts.

In Littlehampton, there is slow traffic on the B2187 Franciscan Way both ways between B2140 East Street and A284 Arundel Road.

However there are no reported major accidents or delays along major roads across the south coast including the M23 and M27.

Elsewhere, there are no problems to report on Hovertravel, Wighlink or Brittany Ferries this weekend.

Southern Rail is not reporting any problems today, however engineering work is taking place between Robertsbridge and Hastings with some lines closed.

Trains are amended to run between London Cannon Street and Robertsbridge with connecting buses to and from Hastings.

Holidaymakers are warned of possible disruption to Mexico flights to and from London Gatwick Airport due to hurricane Patricia.

Passengers should check their status of their flight with their airline before travelling.

The Great South Run will take place in Portsmouth this weekend.

Up to 30,000 runners are expected to join the 10 mile route on Sunday from Southsea Common up to Portsmouth Dockyard, back down Anglesea Rd, Winston Churchill Avenue, past the University, Eastern Parade to Eastney and back along the seafront.

There is a 5K race Saturday morning.

The Met Office has not issued any weather warnings this weekend.

The south coast could see cloudy weather conditions, with rain on Saturday, followed by a dry and sunny day on Sunday.

After a dry start on Saturday, cloud will thicken during the morning with outbreaks of rain arriving into western areas by late morning, spreading eastwards during the afternoon with some heavier bursts.

Eastern parts may stay dry until late afternoon, with a maximum temperature of 14°C.

Tonight, rain should clear to the east during the first part of the night. With clear skies and light winds, it will become cold, with a touch of frost in places.

On Sunday, after a chilly start, it will be a dry day with long spells of sunshine and light winds and a maximum temperature of 13°C.
