Sections of the carriageway will be resurfaced using overnight lane and slip road closures. The work is due to be completed, weather permitting, on Saturday December 7. The work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am.

Highways Agency Project Sponsor Anita Waterton said: “We will be resurfacing sections of the northbound M23 to provide safe and reliable journeys on this key route.

“We have planned the work to be carried out overnight, when we know traffic flows are lowest, to minimise the disruption.”

The northbound entry slip road at junction 9 and two lanes on the northbound carriageway will be closed. A fully signed diversion will be in place via the southbound carriageway to junction 10.
