Magical Christmas night in Battle

There was plenty of cheer in good supply as shop owners and staff dressed in festive costumes, with many shops offering seasonal treats to those who came along to enjoy the evening.

The jolly old gent with the white beard put in an appearance, helped by his elves, and delighted young visitors.

The event is organised each year by Battle Chamber of Commerce and featured carols on the Abbey Green as usual.

The late night gala followed a successful launch of the Christmas season in Battle on November 25, which featured a parade down the High Street and live music, followed by the switching on of the Christmas lights.
