Main road closed after crash near Rudgwick

A main road was closed in both directions following a collision involving three vehicles this morning (Thursday March 24).

Paramedics and police were called to the A281 Guildford Road at 9.55am.

Traffic was stopped in both directions at about 10.20am, following the incident near the junction with the A29 Stane Street.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said a number of people were taken to hospital for minor injuries.

The road was reopened shortly after midday.

Witnesses can email [email protected] quoting serial 347 of 24/3.

A broken down lorry has also caused disruption this morning.

The lorry came to a halt on the A264 Five Oaks Road in Broadbridge Heath, partially blocking the road in both directions between the Lyons Road junction and the Itchingfield Road junction.
