There is major disruption and delays on rail services this morning (Monday) as RMT members begin a five-day strike action.

All Southern services calling at Uckfield, Seaford and Plumpton stations have been cancelled with delays expected on remaining services from Lewes to Brighton and Eastbourne.

A bus service has replaced services between Seaford and Lewes.

There are also no services running between Eastbourne and Ashford International via Hastings.

There is also expected to be disruption to services to London.

Southern says services on Mondays to Fridays are operating to a revised timetable until further notice due to the five days of industrial action by the RMT union conductors over changes to working conditions. Don’t miss out on all the latest breaking news where you live.
