Trains will be running to London today (Friday), tomorrow (Saturday), Easter Sunday (April 5) and Easter Monday (April 6) but London Cannon Street, London Charing Cross and Waterloo East stations will be closed.

An amended Saturday timetable will operate today and tomorrow, an amended Sunday timetable on Sunday and an amended Saturday one on Monday. Those wanting to travel on Southern’s service to London Victoria from Hastings will be able to as normal.

London Bridge will have a very restricted Southeastern service with only trains to/from Hastings serving this station. Hastings services will operate via Tonbridge, Redhill and East Croydon, and run to and from platforms 10 or 11 at London Bridge.

Engineering works are being carried out by Network Rail. Its route managing director for the south east, Dave Ward, said: “We’re investing millions of pounds to improve the railway for our passengers but to do that we will have to make some changes over Easter. There’s no good time to this work and we have to do it when the trains are less busy, outside the working week.

David Statham, Southeastern’s managing director, said: “We know this will impact many of our passengers and that is why we are urging all passengers planning to travel over Easter to check before they travel.” Visit
