Making things better for the law-abiding

Action is being taken to make conditions in an area of Bognor Regis safer for law-abiding residents.

Police community support officer Justina Baker has joined with Arun District Council to put in place a series of measures for Lewes Close, Lavina Court and Hastings Close.

These include leaves being cleared from the footpath between Hastings Close and Lewes Close; tool shed areas in Hastings Close being swept and litter picked; lifting tree branches near the play area to improve the site and fitting Alligator Gates at the rear of Hastings Close by the side of the housing.

Among the longer-term projects which PSCO Baker is considering are stopping people congregating in the tool shed areas, looking into the safety of fitting gates behind Lavinia Court and getting recycling bins supplied to the tool sheds in Hastings Close.
