Man airlifted to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after car smashes into Crawley house

A man has suffered serious injuries after a car smashed into a house in Crawley.

Police said the incident happened today, November 13, at 2.50pm in Chepstow close.

A spokesman added: “The man driving the car was released by firefighters, to be taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

“There are no reports of any other injuries or damage.

“The cause of the incident is still being investigated. Anyone who saw what happened can contact Sussex Police on [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting serial 780 of 13/11.”

An ambulance service spokesman confirmed crews attended the crash. He added: “Ambulance crews, including our Hazardous Area Response Team, attended the scene along with the air ambulance service.

“A man was assessed and treated at the scene before being airlifted to hospital.”

A fire service spokesman confirmed one person was rescued from the car by firefighters.

He said a fire engine from Crawley attended along with the heavy rescue tender, a crew from Salfords and the technical rescue unit.
