Man arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill in Peacehaven

Police arrested a man on suspicon of making threats to kill following an incident in Peacehaven.

Officers were called at 8.15pm on Monday December 16 to reports of a distressed man at a home in Roderick Avenue.

Sussex Police said a 46-year old man was leaning out of a window and due to his apparent condition and reports of threats to the officers, and threats to harm himself, a taser device was safely and successfully discharged into him half an hour later.

He was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital for minor cuts believed to have been caused by a knife found at the scene. but was otherwise unharmed and was later arrested on suspicion of threats to kill.

He is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.
