Man arrested on suspicion of rape
DETECTIVES investigating the rape of a 15-year-old girl have arrested a man.
The 35-year-old man from Worthing was arrested by officers on Friday afternoon (May 14).
A police spokesman said: "He was released on bail pending further enquiries and the officers in the investigation are not pursuing any further suspects."
The arrest follows an allegation of serious sexual assault on the teenager by a man in an alleway off Cross Street, near Worthing Railway Station, between 11.30pm and midnight on Monday, May 10.
