Man assaulted and robbed in Seaford

A 54-year-old man was left with cuts and bruises after being assaulted and robbed in the early hours of Sunday (November 1).

The victim, of no fixed address, was pitching a tent at The Salts Recreation Ground at around half past midnight when a group of youths attacked him and stole bank cards as well as about £300 cash from his wallet. He suffered cuts and bruises to his face and hands.

The suspects are believed to be around 16-18 years of age and were all wearing dark clothing.

Detective Constable Andy Mountford-Laker said, “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen something in the area.

“Witnesses can e-mail or call 101 quoting reference 0027 of 01/11.”
