Man assaulted in Hastings town centre: Broad Oak man arrested

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Hastings town centre.

The appeal has been launched today (Friday, December 18) following the attack on Sunday, November 29 in Queens Road.

Officers were called at around 4.20am after the victim was spotted lying in the road.

The 33-year-old was taken to hospital with a broken nose and extensive bruising to his face.

A 36-year-old man from Broad Oak, near Rye was arrested on suspicion of inflicting GBH and released on bail until January 26.

Detective Constable Brett White said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 0255 of 29/11.”
