Man attacked after confronting Littlehampton vandals

A MAN who confronted youths who were vandalising cars in Littlehampton was left needing hospital treatment.

The 49-year-old was set upon and kicked and punched several times by three teenagers when he asked them to stop, in York Road.

During the attack, which happened on April 2 at about 10pm, his tooth punctured his cheek, and he needed six stitches.

A Sussex police spokesman said: "The man was unable to provide a detailed description of the youths other than one was skinny and taller than the others, but police are hoping that they may have been seen who known to people who also live in the area."
