Man bailed over Littlehampton street attack

The 35-year old suspect was arrested at a nearby address late on the evening of Monday, April 7, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to a 54-year old Rustington man.

On Tuesday, April 8, the suspect was released on police bail until May 21 while enquiries continue.

The victim had been taken to Worthing Hospital, having sustained serious head injuries when in the street in Armada Way, Littlehampton, at about 11.50pm on Friday, April 4.

The victim was transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath where he is currently conscious and is still in a serious but stable condition.
