Man charged with stealing Rolex from dying patient at Chichester hospital

A clinical nursing manager has been charged with stealing a family heirloom from a dying patient at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.

Joseph Miller, 40, allegedly stole the silver Submariner Rolex watch worth £5,000 from 68-year-old David Davis, who died shortly after arriving in hospital.

Police said the watch was reported missing on 7 August 2014 after it disappeared while Mr Davis was being attended to in accident and emergency. The watch was located locally 18 months later and reunited with the owner’s son Jon.
