A man was cut free from his car on Thursday evening (March 26) following a head on collision with a tree.
Uckfield firefighters were called to the scene at Buckham Hill, at 5.59pm.
The man suffered minor injuries in the collision and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Crews said the car was badly damaged.
Watch Commander, Ian Ritchie, said: “The roof had been crushed and a paramedic had to access the vehicle, via the sunroof, to treat the casualty.
“Crews took 35 minutes to remove the roof and two doors, while working in deep mud on one side of the car and working around the paramedic.
“The casualty was released with surprisingly minor injuries and transferred to hospital by ambulance.”
