Man demanded dog in knifepoint theft

A man tried to steal a woman's pet rottweiler in a terrifying knifepoint robbery.

The woman was walking her dog Kaiser along Bexhill Down at 3.50pm on Sunday (January 31) when she was confronted by the man who pointed a pocket knife at her and demanded she hand over dog.

She handed the man Kaiser’s lead but the dog would not go with him.

The man then walked off in the direction of the King Offa Primary Academy.

Police were called and searched the area, but the suspect was not found.

The man is described as having a foreign accent, standing around 5’10” tall and of big build.

He was wearing a black woollen coat and a grey hoody, with the hood drawn up over his head.
