Emergency services rushed to the scene near Timberlaine Road following reports a man had got into difficulty in the water at around 3pm on Wednesday (August 12).

He was pulled from the sea and paramedics administered CPR, said police.

However, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, police have confirmed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and it has been passed to the coroner’s officer.
