Man dies in road traffic collision in Faygate

A man was confirmed dead at the scene of a road traffic collision in Faygate yesterday, according to fire services.

Horsham and Crawley fire crews were called to the scene in Faygate Lane at 9.26pm last night, West Sussex Fire and Rescue reported this morning.

The car had flipped onto its roof, leaving a second female occupant trapped. Fire services were able to cut her free using hydraulic rescue equipment.

Police attended and the A264 was temporarily closed for investigation, a West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesperson said.

There were no other reported casualties or vehicles involved in the incident.

Police services declined to comment at this time.
