Man seriously injured in Wivelsfield collision

The crash happened at about 11.46 on Thursday, April 11, when a Ford Fiesta was in collision with a Ford pick-up truck on Green Road, Wiveslfield.

The front seat passenger in the Fiesta, a 39-year-old local man, received serious but non life threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.

Two other occupants in the Fiesta - the 18-year-old female driver and a three-year-old boy who are also both local - received minor injuries, as did the 59-year-old male driver of the truck and his 56-year-old female passenger, who are both from Haywards Heath.

A police spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision and would ask them to call the Central Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting serial 496 of 11 April.”
