Man suffers broken jaw in Burgess Hill assault

A man suffered a broken jaw after an assault in Burgess Hill, police have said.

Police said the victim, a 46-year-old man, was attacked at a pub in Church Road at around 9pm on Christmas Eve, 2015.

The suspect is described as a white man, around 24-years-old and of stocky build with short dark hair.

He was wearing a grey jumper, blue jeans and brown boots and is believed to have spoken with a Welsh accent.

Detective Constable Karen Young said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw something suspicious at the time.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 1312 of 24/12.”
