Man suffers head injury in street fight

A man sustained a suspected broken hand and an injury to his head following a fight in Littlehampton on Tuesday (March 28), a police spokesman has confirmed.

Police said they responded to a call at 7.40pm to two men fighting in Clifton Road near to the junction of New Road.

A police spokesman said: “One of those involved then entered the Lidls store on New Road having sustained a suspected broke hand and an injury to his head.

“The 19-year old man, who is not local to the area, was taken by ambulance to Worthing Hospital for treatment.

“The investigation is ongoing at this time and anyone who was in the area and saw what happened is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1427 of 28/03.”
