Man taken to hospital after car and trailer collide

A man was taken to hospital after a car and a trailer collided earlier this morning (Tuesday January 12).

Emergency services were called to the crash in Spy Lane, opposite the Oakgrove junction, in Loxwood, at around 9.20am.

A 67-year-old man, who was driving the car, suffered spinal and abdominal injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

He was taken to The Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford for further assessment.

A spokesman for the fire service said no-one was trapped in the crash and the man was released from the car before crews arrived.
