Man taken to hospital after car collides with tree near East Dean

Emergency services were called to the scene near East Dean yesterday morning (Sunday, March 28).

Police say officers were called at 9.20am to reports of a car colliding with a tree at the junction of Birling Gap Road and Gilberts Drive.

According to police, one man was taken to hospital for treatment, while another man suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed temporarily while recovery of the vehicle was arranged, police say.
