Man threatened and chased in Bognor Regis

Police are seeking witnesses to an incident in Bognor Regis where a visitor who asked for directions was chased by the group of men and women who he had approached.

The 21-year-old man asked the group for help between midnight and 1.30am on Monday, October 17.

He is then believed to have been chased through Linden Road.

While he was running, he flagged down a car, which stopped and wound down the window before driving off again.

Police are appealing for witnesses and for the driver to come forward. If you have any information please contact 0845 60 70 999 and quote serial 48 of 17/10.

A 22-year-old man from Bognor Regis was arrested on suspicion of using threatening words or behaviour likely to cause fear of violence. He has been bailed until December 12.

Police
