Man to appear in court after car crashed twice in Worthing

A man will appear in court after a car collided with two others in Worthing.

A police spokesman said: “Following a collision between a Peugeot 207 and a parked Audi car in Meadow Road, East Worthing, and a subsequent collision with a Vauxhall Meriva in Brougham Road, East Worthing, near its junction with the A259 Brighton Road, on Wednesday (May 4) the Peugeot driver is to appear in court.”

Sussex Roads Police tweeted the suspect had been arrested and posted this photo on Thursday morning.

A police spokesman said James Peter Budd, 49, of Millfield Road, Sompting, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

He has been bailed to appear before Worthing magistrates on Tuesday, May 24.
