Man who died in A27 collision named

A man who died after a collision between two cars on the A27 near Polegate on Monday evening (November 18) has been named.

Peter Sinden, 57, and from Eastbourne, was travelling east in a blue Vauxhall Meriva on the A27 between Wilmington and Polegate when he was involved in a head on collision with a green rover freelander travelling west.

Police said the 58-year-old driver of the freelander, from Seaford, was taken to Eastbourne General Hospital for slight injuries but was not detained.
