Man who suffered heart attack in Horsham passes away in hospital

The man, aged in his 60s, collapsed in Guildford Road at about 2.15pm.

Bystanders attempted to resuscitate the man prior to the arrival of three ambulances at the scene of the incident.

He was taken to East Surrey Hospital where he sadly died, a police spokesperson said.

His next of kin have been advised and the matter has been referred to the coroner’s officer.

Yesterday, a spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) thanked members of the public for ‘providing resuscitation attempts’ before paramedics arrived.
